What is RUSH?
RUSH is one of the fastest growing student ministries in the area, and stands for Rise Up & Share Hope, which is exactly our mission. Due to our rapidly changing culture students are faced with more temptations, half-truths, whole lies, false teachings, and distractions than ever before. They are looking for something different. They are looking for more than daily routines and cultural remedies to the hardships they encounter. They are looking for purpose. They are looking for hope. At RUSH our prayer is to help connect the students with God, His purpose, and with other students to develop lasting friendship all through Jesus Christ.
What to expect?
The common phrase we hear from parents and student alike is, “This is way better than I expected!” Our style of ministry is completely relational based and centered on the Word. The teachings at RUSH are not your typical surface level pep talks; rather the messages are deep and deeply rooted in Scripture in a relevant, but non-conforming way. After the teaching the students break into small groups that are grade and gender based. During this time they will unpack the message, as a group, facilitated by well-qualified RUSH Leaders.
RUSH service times are 7-8:30pm on Wednesday nights. We have concession food items for sale before service.
Do you have worship?
Oh yes. Worship is the spark that ignites the flame in our walk with Christ. Our worship team plays a blend of styles ranging from the “good ol’ songs” to the more modern “in your face” style. To get an idea, here are a few artists we enjoy: Hillsong, Matt Redman, Jesus Culture, David Crowder, Chris Tomlin, Charlie Hall, and Jimmy Needham.
Our weekly services include an energizing kick off, student led worship, prizes, giveaways, and a message that is easy to understand and apply to your life.
